ChemSW Team in Montreal for AIHce 2013
ChemSW is proud to expand its horizons in every direction. In order to reach a broader audience and share our industrial best practices with you, we launched the official ChemSW Blog! This month, the blog will be featuring Fire Code reporting tips to help your lab run more efficiently. From identifying hazardous materials to surviving an audit, we will cover all the bases. Read on to discover how the ChemSW team is expanding its horizons all the way to Montreal.
Montreal is home to many science institutions to expand the brain. There are science museums as well as meetings of the mind at science conferences. The Centre de Sciences de Montreal is a place for the young and young-at-heart to play with interactive science exhibits and explore science careers in fields such as engineering and renewable energy. For penguin-lovers, the Biodome is a converted Olympic bicycle-racing stadium, which houses five biomes and a walking path through the exhibits.
The latest science event in Montreal is the American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition – AIHce. The theme this year is “The Art + Science of Professional Judgement” and it will feature keynote speakers focusing on the need to apply creativity and strong science in order to advance worker health. The ChemSW team joins the 2013 conference by exhibiting the best-of-breed chemical inventory management system, CISPro.
ChemSW Showing Off Products in the Booth
The ChemSW team is showing off the company’s program CISPro, which is a tool to help organizations track and manage chemicals from receipt through disposal, write reports, and provide quick access to hazard information in an emergency. This is the industry best-of-breed, best practices chemical inventory solution.
In addition, the team is also highlighting the Safety Inspection Live solution, which won the Best New EHS Software Product of the Year by Occupational Health & Safety magazine in 2012. This product allows users to record safety inspection data in real-time on popular mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets and laptops. If you’re at the conference, please come say hi to us and check out our products in Booth 1524.
What Else Will You Find at AIHce?
Thousands of occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals will come together to learn from industry safety experts at the AIHce’s education events. There are classroom-setting professional development courses, 20-minute podium speeches, poster presentations and roundtable discussions. The Expo gives visitors a chance to see the top products of 300+ companies.
In addition to the classes and the Expo, the conference is a chance for attendees to network with colleagues. There will be a session called Career Advantage where employers can find their next employee, and candidates can get resume feedback and speed networking opportunities. On a less formal note, there will be a Fun Run to raise funds for student scholarships. Keeping track of everything that is happening at the conference will be made easier this year with the AIHce mobile app available in your App Store.
If You Can’t Make It to Montreal This Week, Attend the Virtual Conference
If it wasn’t in the plans for you to attend AIHce this year, not to worry. You can still attend the conference virtually from your own desk. While you will miss the beautiful architecture of the Palais des Congrès where the conference is held, Virtual AIHce 2013 gives you the option to see and hear the education sessions at your leisure. You can relax in your own home or office while accessing cutting edge information that you can start using immediately. For an insider’s look on the conference and expo, you can also follow the AIHce Twitter feed and read tweets about event highlights. Whether you attend in person or virtually, this is considered the most important event of the year among EH&S professionals.
