Dr. Daniela Jansen is the Director of Product Marketing at BIOVIA with more than 20 years of experience in Laboratory Informatics and Instrumentation holding various positions in Marketing and Sales Management.
Previously she was responsible for Sales and Marketing of Informatics solutions at Waters Europe as well as for Sales at Creon Lab Control and Bio-Rad Laboratories. She studied Chemistry at the University of Freiburg and did her Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of Cologne.
In this role Gene is providing the vision, strategy and management of the laboratory informatics product portfolio that includes the Electronic Laboratory Notebook, Laboratory Information Management System and the Laboratory Execution system.
Gene has been working in the Life Science industry for over 20 years developing robotic and Laboratory informatics systems.
Dr. Jannise Buckley is the Product Manager of Pipeline Pilot and the newest member of the Pipeline Pilot team. Before joining BIOVIA, Jannise was a Chemist and Business Student at the University of Southern California working on the development of semiconducting inks for low-cost solution manufacturing of thin-film inorganic semiconductor photovoltaics, in addition to technology commercialization and product development.
Thomas has a BSc and a MSc of Chemistry from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and a PhD in Therapeutic Chemistry from the Paris Descartes university. Thomas has been working for the last 5 years with customers in the pharmaceutical industry to understand their internal business workflows, and to advise them in rationalising their data management by leveraging BIOVIA's scientifically aware solutions.
Thomas's area of expertise includes ScienceCloud, Pipeline Pilot, Discovery Studio, QSAR and Biotherapeutics Workbenches, Notebook, Registration, Assay, Insight, Pipette Sketcher and Pipette Analysis.
Dana is responsible for developing and maintaining components in Pipeline Pilot for statistics, model building, and optimization. He also developed BIOVIA Catalog for text searching of the BIOVIA Foundation database of components and protocols and did extensive work on the QSAR Workbench product. Dana has been doing research and developing software at BIOVIA or one of its predecessor companies since 1989, but he found his true love as a programmer when he first encountered Pipeline Pilot in 2005.
Tim’s early research in the industry focused on Immunomodulation and Imaging to study of effects on T-cell lymphocyte homing. He held several managerial positions in Image Informatics and came to the organization in 2006 to begin work as Director of Imaging. His role has expanded over the years to include Life Science Research Marketing and Product Management for Assay Management, Next Generation Sequencing, Sequence Analysis, Biotherapeutics, and Bio Registration.
Dr. Matthew Sage is a Senior Product Manager focused on the Collaborative and Predictive life sciences, managing the Cheminformatics solutions: Insight, Insight for Excel, Chemical Registration, Pipeline Pilot Chemistry Collection, Draw and Direct. Over the past 15 years he has also worked as an Advisory Consultant supporting customers in multiple roles including; implementation, training and presales. Prior to BIOVIA, Matthew worked for AgustaWestland Helicopters and has completed two post-doctorates in Asymmetric epoxidation and elucidation of Marine Natural Products.
